How Long Are Vouchers Valid For?

Most of our vouchers are valid for a period of 10 months. ActivityPassport vouchers are valid for 12 months. This can be extended for a small handling fee as long as the vouchers are still in date.

How Do I Redeem My Gift Vouchers?

In order to redeem a voucher simply take a look at our packages, decide on a package and the date you would like to visit us and then either call our Customer Services Team on 0844 745 5006 or your voucher online using our redemption form.

How Do I Book My Gift Vouchers?

Simply book your voucher securely online. However, if you prefer, you can give our trained activity Sales Consultants a call on 0844 745 5006 and they will be more than happy to help you with your booking over the phone.

Does The Experience That I Book Have To Be For A Specified Date?

No, our Karting Nation Vouchers have the additional benefit of being open ended for a 10 month period, so, the recipient can choose a time and date that best suits them.

Can You Send the Voucher to the Recipient?

Of course. Just let us know when you book who you would like us to send it to.

Are There Any Restrictions That I Need To Consider When Booking A Voucher?

Terms and Conditions - Activity Passport, Experiences and Standard Vouchers

The Activity People Ltd is the Company behind this successful brand. The Company issues Activity Passport, Experiences and Standard Vouchers to its customers via its website, or over the telephone. The Activity People Ltd have the biggest activity network in the the UK.

1. Prices & Payments

The prices of specific Experiences are held for the 12 months validity. Passports and Standard Vouchers are non-specific and are redeemed at face value against the retail price at the time of redemption. We accept all major credit and debit cards. We also accept payment by cheque - made payable to: The Activity People Ltd. Post to: The Activity People Ltd, ActivityHq, Raglan House, Raglan Street, Harrogate, HG1 1LE, United Kingdom. Please state (1) what you wish to purchase - a Passport, Specific Experience or Standard Voucher; (2)How much you wish to spend; (3) Your name and address; (4) Your telephone number and email address.

2. Validity

Our Passports and Experiences are valid for 12 months from the date of issue (Christmas Passports and Experiences are always valid from 25th December for 12 months).Standard Vouchers are valid for 10 months from date of issue (Christmas Standard Vouchers are always valid for 10months from 25th December).

3. Extending the Validity Period

A Passport, Experience or Standard Voucher will be deemed to be invalid and will not be eligible for redemption if it is out of date (the validity date is clearly stated). Extension are available, providing they are still valid when contact is made with The Activity People Ltd. If the customer or recipient is unable to use the Passport, Experience or Standard Voucher before the expiry date, then they can extend the validity date by calling 0844 745 5006 and speaking to one of our sales representatives. There is a small admin charge of £6.99 for a one month extension. Extensions can only be made 3 times for any one Passport, Experience or Standard Voucher. We do not issue a new Passport, Experience or Standard Voucher for extensions. If this is requested, further costs will be incurred. Free gifts or promotional products are not eligible for extensions.

4. Booking

Booking is subject to availability and must be made through The Activity People Ltd only and not at the activity circuits. We will happily redeem your Passport, Experience or Standard Voucher against any package featured on our site up to its full value, regardless of any specific experience named. Additional participants can take part, but they will be charged at the retail price as detailed on our website at the time of booking. Once a booking is made, booking terms and conditions then apply as detailed on our main website www.theactivitypeople.co.uk

5. Activity Restrictions

All activities have restrictions of some sort, they can relate to age, height, health, and weight. These are in the best interests of participants. Visit www.theactivitypeople.co.uk and check out your preferred activity and any restrictions that are in place. If you still have any concerns, give us a call.

6.Despatch & Delivery

All Passports, Experiences and Vouchers will be despatched in accordance with your chosen delivery selection. We cannot be held liable for any loss suffered as a result of mail being delayed, and we accept no responsibility for lost or stolen Passports, Experiences or Standard Vouchers. Please keep them in a safe place and protect them as you would cash. Duplicates can be issued, but this will incur an admin charge and any additional postage costs. Stated postage is for up to 3 Standard Vouchers per envelope posted to the same address. Each address is treated as a separate delivery and will incur a separate postage charge. Gift wrapping incurs an individual cost per Passport, Experience or Standard Voucher for the wrapping and postage.

7. Refunds

You have the right to return your unused Passport, Standard Voucher, or Experience within 7 days of our despatch date for a full refund. All refunds made after 7 days and within 28 days of receipt will incur a £20 or 20% administration charge (whichever is greater). All refunds will be made to the person made the purchase and the monies will be refunded directly to that credit / debit card. All refunds are processed at month-end and take between 5 and 10 working days to show in the purchaser's account. To request a refund you must return your Passport, Experience or Standard Voucher by recorded delivery to: The Activity People Ltd, ActivityHq, Raglan House, Raglan Street, Harrogate, HG1 1LE, United Kingdom, together with a covering letter detailing the reason for your refund request. Free gifts or promotional products are not eligible for refunds.

8. Activity Pictures and Descriptions

Whilst every effort is made to ensure the descriptions and pictures used are a true representation of the activities offered, these do not form part of the contract. Pictures used are always representative of the activity and not venue specific.

9. Cash / Credit Value

Our Passports and Standard Vouchers do not have any cash or credit value other than as payment or part-payment towards an activity as detailed on our websites. Should the value of you Passport, Experience or Standard Voucher exceed that of the activity chosen, no cash refund or credit is given against the balance. Should they be insufficient to cover an activity because of a price increase, or change of activity choice, the bearer will be expected to pay any outstanding balance before the booking can be made.

10. Office of Fair Trading and Trading Standards

This company complies with regulations and guidelines as laid down by the Office of Fair Trading and Trading Standards for the service we offer. We welcome any inspection of our processes in this regard.

11. Data Protection

This Company complies with the principles of the Data Protection Act 1998 and is registered. 12. Trademarks and Brand Names

All our names are well known in the UK and we have acquired both registered and unregistered rights in our names, brands, trademarks, domain names and logos. No one may use our brands, names, trademarks, domain names or logos for any purpose without our express written permission. Any unlawful use will be dealt with swiftly by law.

13. Our Terms

All purchases and bookings will be subject to these same terms and conditions without exception. All customers will have deemed to have made themselves aware of these Terms & Conditions and will have accepted them in their entirety and without exception as part of their dealings with us. No verbal or other communication overrides these terms and conditions in any respect whatsoever.

14. Severability

All of the provisions, clauses and paragraphs in these Terms and Conditions should be read and construed independently of each other. If any provision, clause or paragraph in these Terms of Business is held to be invalid or unenforceable such provision, clause or paragraph will be struck out and the remaining provisions, clauses and paragraphs will remain in force.

15. Statutory

Your statutory rights are not affected.

16. Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are subject to the laws of England, Scotland and Wales and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts in the nearest area in which you are domiciled.

17. Force Majeure

This Company will not be liable for any delay or failure to carry out any of its rights, duties and responsibilities under these Terms and Conditions if the delay or failure is caused by circumstances outside of the control of This Company, including, but not limited to actions by others, acts of god, war, civil disorder or industrial dispute.

18. Our Rights

Failure by this Company to enforce any of its rights under these Terms of Business is not to be regarded as a waiver of those rights unless the waiver is confirmed in writing. If this Company decides to waive any of its rights under these Terms of Business, this will not inhibit this Company from enforcing those rights at any or all times in the future.

19. Booking Agent

We are a booking agency for the activity providers and activity circuits featured on our websites, therefore we do not physically deliver the activities provided. All issues and claims in connection with the performance and delivery of an activity must therefore be directed at the activity provider. In this instance, this company will provide full information to assist in any resolution.

Our circuit is a 25,000 sqft indoor track and you will be behind the wheel of the awesome Biz Honda GX200 Karts which are capable of some hair-raising speeds. Q How can we check if there is a circuit near us?
A Use the map to the right. Alternatively type in a town, city or postcode in the search box above.
Q Do We Have To Pay Extra For Insurance?
A If you race at a circuit that is a member of the National Karting Association, the venue will have their own public liability cover customers.
Q Do We Have To Pre Book An Arrive and Drive Session?
A We strongly advise pre-booking to guarantee a session.
Q How many people do we need for an event?
A For an exclusive event (where the track is just for your group) you will need at least 10 drivers. For an Open event (where you race against other groups of drivers) you can bring as many or as few drivers as you like. Some circuits require more drivers during peak times (e.g. after 5pm on weekdays).
Q How many people do i need to book a grand prix or endurance?
A This varies from circuit to circuit. Please check the circuit you are interested in where you will find full details on their listing.
Q How do I pay?
A Some circuits require full payment on booking whereas some will take a deposit call us on to find out what is required at your preferred circuit. Payment can be made with, cheque or credit / debit card.
Q Is there any discount on group bookings?
A Discount is usually available to groups of 30 or more.

Q How long will it take?
A Arrive and Drive / Practice session can be as short as 15 minutes. A Grand Prix race for 20 drivers can take about 2.5 hours to run.

Kids Karting

Q Is there and age and height restriction for karting?
A For most circuits, the minimum age is 8 years old on the cadet kart when doing an Arrive and Drive Session, but we would suggest 14 years and upwards when taking part in a race event. The minimum height is 54". Please check the circuit you are interested for further details
Q Can We Drop The Kids Off For An Hour Or So?
A All children under the age of 16 years must be accompanied at all times.
Q What race format is available to youth groups and schools?
A Mini Prix and Mini Endurance are the most popular race formats for youth and school groups. Discounts are often offered for races during school or off peak hours. Call us to check

Q Do I Need A Driving license?
A No.
Q What Clothes Should We Wear?
A Just casual wear with trainer style shoes. Most circuits supply all safety clothing, Helmet, Balaclava, Gloves, and Race Suit.
Q Are karts safe?
A All notable circuits service and test their karts every day. However, karting by its very nature is a risky activity
Q Do we get knocked out in the early rounds of a grand prix if we are beginners?
A All drivers get the same amount of qualifying heats and semi finals.
Q Do you give instructions to beginners?
A Yes - we recommend that you listen attentively to our pre-race briefing. It is surprisingly easy and great fun provided you know the correct way to drive your kart.
